  • Cultivate Charlottesville: Cultivate Charlottesville engages with youth and community to build a healthy and just food system. We believe that working together to grow gardens, share food and power, and advocate for just systems – cultivates a healthy community for all.   • Discovery Museum: https://vadm.org/ -  a small, nonprofit children's museum for families with infants to kids age 8.   • The Quarry Gardens at Schuyler: 1643 Salem Rd, Schuyler, VA 22969. Trails and bridges quide you around two abandoned, water-filled soapstone quarries, and through a conservation landscape that showcases the intersection of restoration ecology and cultural resource management.   • Positive Paws K-9 Angels: nonprofit organization that offers specialized training for therapy dogs and has many established community partnerships for visits. Located: 2510 W Main Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980. EM: positivepawsk9@gmail.com PH: (540) 569-9211

 

  • Blue Dog Farm is in Afton and is home to chickens, sheep, horses, lambs, and two large and friendly dogs. Lambs should be on the ground by April.

  • Bottoms Up Farm (same owner as Blue Dog Farm) is in Nellysford. No one lives on this property. It is 20 acres of bottom land along a fork of the Rockfish River. There is a fire pit, bell tent, and river access. Contact Mary Beck, mpb2h123@gmail.com, (434) 981-7579
